Why is there no phone number?

Since the founding of Sea-Watch, we have had to endure countless calls, which, over time, led us to remove all phone numbers from the website. This includes threatening calls, defamation, personal insults, aggression, and outbursts of anger. Therefore we have decided not to spend our time (mostly pointlessly) on the phone. Please use our contact page. We'll be happy to call you back for urgent matters. We would like to ask for your understanding.

Non-Profit Status / Exemption Notice

Sea-Watch e.V. is exempt from corporate and trade tax for the last assessment period of 2019 according to § 5 Abs. 1 Nr. 9 of the Corporate Income Tax Act and § 3 Nr. 6 of the Trade Tax Act due to its promotion of rescue from life-threatening situations, civic engagement for non-profit purposes, and education, including student aid, according to the annex to the corporate tax notice of the Finanzamt für Körperschaften I, Berlin, tax number 27/677/66910, dated 08.06.2023.

Liability for Content

As a service provider, according to § 7 paragraph 1 TMG, we are responsible for our content on these pages under general laws. However, according to §§ 8 to 10 TMG, we as a service provider are not obligated to monitor transmitted or stored external information or to investigate circumstances that indicate illegal activity. Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general laws remain unaffected. However, liability in this regard is only possible from the time of knowledge of a specific infringement.
